My journey began in September 2014 when I decided to write my junior term paper on "food deserts," a place where God's nourishing foods are difficult to find.
It wasn't long before I discovered it's not just kids living in low-income urban areas who are starving for the five colors of nourishing foods they need to live healthy, but 6 out of every 7 kids- regardless of race or income. I also found that our paucity of nutrients had led to an epidemic of childhood chronic illnesses.
What I couldn't find was a simple solution to the problem, so I applied for an independent study program. It was then that I developed GoBrite Nutrition Plan as a way to remind parents of the five colors of nourishing foods all kids need: GREEN, ORANGE, BLUE, RED AND WHITE.
I then wrote a short book called GoBrite for Life for parents. However, the book people loved was a kids activity book I wrote with my sister Claire called I'm a Brite Kid.
Then on September 8, 2015, I was invited by the One World Literacy Foundation and the Magic Johnson Foundation to present my GoBrite nutrition program at PS 45 in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn.

Left to right: Mr. Jose Nino: Executive Director of The One World Literacy Foundation, Me, Ms. Tracey Lott Davis: Principal of PS 45, and Ms. Jeanella Blair: Director of Community Empowerment Centers for the Magic Johnson Foundation. Mr. Nino has since invited me to serve on his Board of Advisors.
After spending a wonderful day with the beautiful students of PS 45, the school invited me to become a vendor to the NYC Public School System.
However, after attending a three day Emmaus retreat at my church, it was clear that God wanted me to help save His kids; mentally, physically and spiritually, so we created a company called Global Children's Wellness, Inc. and filed for a 501c3, which was approved on July 29, 2016 (47-452266).
In the spring of 2017 I met a remarkably talented and passionate young man named Josef Nardi, who immediately joined the team and helped build our websites and produce all of the videos on this website.
In the spring of 2017, we held our first BriteBox event delivering over 200 boxes of healthy food to families in Bridgeport, CT. We've conducted four BriteBox events to date delivering over 30,000 servings of healthy fruits and vegetables to God's kids.
Then, on July 16, 2017, my pastor Father Kinnally took me to meet Bishop Caggiano, who approved Save God's Kids for all schools and churches in the diocese.
That same summer two amazing Catholic teens, Clare Wagner and Alex Difiore, callaborated to write a wonderful book for teens called Spiritual Nourishment.
During 2018 and 2019, I focused on school, while building new videos, website and nutrition programs. In 2019, three amazing professionals joined the movement: Ward Bond, PhD, Dr. Walt Larimor and Chaira Estes, RD.
We are now preparing for a relaunch of the Save God's Kids solution on December 7, 2019, where the youth from ten churches in New Canaan, Darien, Stamford and Norwalk CT will pack hundreds of BriteBoxes.
In 2020, we will focus on rolling the solution out to all the churches in the Bridgeport diocese, while launching Save God's Kids through the many media companies that have offered to support our cause including: Fox News, TBN, CBN, Daystar and many more.
All we need now is for you to join the team.
